- vocals, slide and rhythm guitars, co-writer 12 years in New Orleans, 19 years of professional playing experience includes: Crimson Rose & The Joneses Big Art Dave Hickey Band Bourbon Cowboys Chris Polacek & The Flying Palmettos Touring includes the North and Southeast United States. Presently leading the Palmetto's with vocals, rhythm and slide guitars. Dave acknowledges vocal greats including Paul Rodgers, Wilson Pickett, Ronnie VanZandt, Otis Redding to achieve a superlative talent. CHRIS POLACHECK - electric, acoustic and slide guitars, co-writer 19 years in New Orleans, 30+ years of professional playing including gigs in the '60's in Los Angeles, CA opening The Whiskey A Go-Go, Gazzari's and Thelma's, to New Orleans gigs with great acts including George Porter Jr., Marva Wright, CJ. Chenier and many, talented local musicians. Touring United States, Europe and Japan throughout his career is presently pursing writing and recording talent and experience with Dave. Chris enjoys stylistic roots music flavored with influences from great guitarists of the past and present including: Chet Atkins, Eric Clapton, The Kings, and Paco DeLucia JIMMY MESSA - bass guitar, vocals Born and raised in Louisiana, 26 years professional playing including gigs on the "Cajun Circuit": New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, La and the Gulf Coast. Touring the USA, Europe and Russia including performances with Anders Osborne, Johnny Adams, The Continental Drifters and Beth McKee & Sharon Leger. CD credits include: "Now Appearing", John Magnie, (with Leigh Harris), "Danger, Sex, and Sound FX", Doug Duffy. Treasured styles include The Beatles, Zappa, Ray Charles and Paul Simon. Jimmy contributes a solid, unique sound to the rhythm section. CHARLES BREWER - drums Raised in New Orleans, La. 26 years professional playing experience including gigs with John Cleary, Tara Darnell, Noble Coyotes, Waylon Thibodeaux. CD credits include "Out Of The Blue", Robyn E., Like A Real Cajun, Waylon Thibodeaux. Touring the East Coast of the US, Europe and Canada developing and playing styles that transcend cultural boundaries. Presently holding the rhythm section down for the Palmetto's. Credits New Orleans acts, Herlin Riley and Wynton Marsalis for their musical influence and thanks Jim Chapin and UNO. |
